You have a personal, direct connection to Source Energy.

Whether you call it God, The Universe, the Cosmos, Your Higher Self or The Higher Power, there is a bigger ‘You’, that is infinitely wise, powerful and benevolent.

When you are ‘in your power’  life goes well. Doors open. Synchronicity abounds. Your intuition is on point, and you feel a sense of peace and harmony.

However, if this connection is not nurtured and if we are not conscious, present and aware of how we feel then all too easily this connection can be broken, especially when we are just learning to trust it to direct our lives.

We can find  ourselves suddenly feeling disconnected, disillusioned, scared, and lost.

From here we are easily triggered, we slip into compulsive behaviours, negative patterns or destructive tendencies and we find it hard to hear our inner voice.

In short – we lose our selves.

Everyone has a different ‘kryptonite’ that can trigger this kind of disconnection. Take a moment to consider…. what is yours?

Every now and then I catch myself. It’s usually too late by the time I clock my conditioning getting in the way of my good. The words have left my mouth. The offer has been declined. The opportunity or moment to embrace and say ‘YES’ to myself has passed. Yes there will be others. Many more, the Universe is kind like that. But that particular one may never come around again.

Over the years and being an entrepreneur I have learned to look out for my little gremlins that can block my good.

I have said YES despite fears, doubts and ‘How the ????’ It has always paid off for me, but even now I realise there are places where I hold myself back and can cut myself off from my good- usually leading me to compromise, a drop in my energy and sometimes even a feeling of ‘deadening’ myself and my experience of life…. Pretty sucky.

Here are 5 top tips to help you allow more good and receive more prosperity, opportunity and love into your life.

Inside each and everyone of us there is a knowing, a Self so powerful that it can guide us through our lives to live as powerful creators, magnetic manifesters, soulful teachers and speakers of hidden truths. This voice speaks to us in whispers. It is easily drowned out by the whirrings of the mind, the ‘norms’ and conventions of society and the conditioning of our culture.

Yet if we take the time and the heart to hear it – This voice will birth through us an extraordinary power and legacy that we could only have dreamed of before.

Sometimes in my coaching practice I see a client struggling with something that is simply not solvable with the mind. there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ about it, there is no logic to it, there is simply the Truth. That truth may be asking them to leave a relationship that no longer works for either party, that truth maybe a new or higher level of expression and purpose or income, that truth may be to take a trip or go on a journey. that truth is usually waiting for them to follow it, but they are often afraid to take the leap into the unknown.

When this comes up our only choice is to listen and surrender. the more we fight and resist it the more afraid, confused and conflicted we become. WE begin seeking for an answer outside our selves to affirm or contradict our urges, asking too many people’s advise, reading too many books or blogs, or tuning our knowing out with TV, heavy food or other distractions. The resistance is of course futile. We know what we know. And no matter how shocking to our peers, no matter how confusing to those who love us, we have to say yes to it. We have to answer the call and follow that yes wherever it may take us- be it the heart of the Amazon jungle or the throws of the Urban one.

You have a gut response inside, a voice, a heart that is wise beyond your years, beyond your mind and beyond any perceived limits you have.

There is something about the fool that has always appealed to me, like we all have a goofy, crazy, playful part of us all and sometimes we just need a reminder not to take life so damn seriously!

When I was an English Student, the fool in Shakespeare always got my attention- dancing, rhyming, storytelling, joking and yet full of wisdom and a part of the intricate mysteries of life. Either Mr Shakespeare was smoking something or he was totally connected- or both!

Nowadays we see the archetype of the fool showing up- and we may be surprised to see the serious impact a little foolishness can have upon our success. In fact, worrying that we will be shamed, embarrassed, ridiculed and ‘make a fool of ourselves’ can hold us back so much, that maybe intentionally making a fool out of ourselves occasionally helps us past this debilitating fear….You have heard of the term ‘fools gold’…Check out these example of folly becoming success:

No one knows better how a bit of mischief, fun and messing about can enhance your brand, reputation and success in business more than billionaire Richard Branson.

From dressing in drag to risking life and limb, this wise fool doesn’t seem to worry about what people think, and cleverly uses his personality to catch attention and reach the global public.

Jonny Depp bought his character to life with his over the top performance of Jack Sparrow based on his idol Keith Richards. He’s also never been afraid to take on off the wall roles, such as the Mad Hatter, Edwards Scissorhands and Willy Wonka.

So how can we lighten up a bit and inject some fun and some foolery into our businesses and lives, my dare for you today is to tap into your inner fool and let it spark that creative passion in you, and bring out the big kid in your business, with your team or family this April and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

I know it can be all work and no play sometimes, let’s make work feel like play as often as we can!

You are probably having a few days of downtime before revving up again with your life/business in 2011 and I know how easy it is to want to switch off completely and enjoy the family but a little bit of intention work and making leaps of faith at this time can go a HUGE distance to achieving your heart’s desires in the coming year.

Last year I did this process from my childhood bedroom. This year I am doing it from a 1.4 million pound beautiful home. I am sharing that with you so you can see what is possible and learn to trust the process I am about to share with you. It may seem simple, and short- but it’s one of my secrets to success!

Get your journal and a pen and go ahead doing this exercise right now- it won’t take long and will reward you a million times over!
Step 1- What do you desire? What is it you want? Get Clear.

Step 2 – Why do you want this- Spell it out

Step 3 – Put it out there- Sit with this prayer and request, ASK for help and guidance from Source.

Step 4 – Allow- Sit with the desire- be pregnant with it and feel good. Allow yourself to see it, maybe create a vision board, get excited- it is coming!

Step 5 – Trust – (HINT: this is where most people stop!) Your ego will try to sabotage you at this point, ignore that and stay expectant but unattached. (I could write a whole book on this but am trying to keep it short! Basically- get a feeling of ‘having’ in your bones and trust/know that your desires are being fulfilled the moment you give yourself permission to have them- despite outside circumstances!)

Step 6- Receive & Act- You will hear guidance, see signs, feel nudges or sniff the scent of your next move- let yourself receive this intuition and follow it! You need to ACT if you want to ATTRACT!
